Are the proceeds supporting Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind?

How will the prize amount be determined?

The prize amount will be exactly 50% of the total sales, there is no limit to how big the prize can grow.  The other half of the proceeds will go to Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind.

If I win, is the prize taxable?

Lottery winnings are not taxable in Ontario.

Will I get a charitable tax receipt for any tickets I purchase?

No, the tickets are not tax deductible because it provides the purchaser with a chance to win and is therefore, not a charitable donation.

Can I play/buy more than one time for each draw?

Yes. You can purchase tickets as many times as you want for each draw.

Do I have to be in Ontario to purchase tickets?

Yes. You must be in Ontario to be able to purchase tickets.

How old do I need to be to purchase tickets?

You must be 18 years of age to purchase tickets in Ontario.

How long does it take to receive my tickets?

Tickets generally arrive within 5 minutes of ordering. During times of high demand, it could take up to half an hour. If you do not receive the ticket within an hour, please email us at fundraising@guidedogs.ca

How do I find out the winning number?

The winning number will be posted at www.guidedogs.ca and on our social media channels.  Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind will also attempt to contact the winner directly by phone or e-mail.

How long do I have to claim my prize?

The winner has 6 months from the date of the draw to claim the prize.

When do ticket sales stop for this draw?

Tickets will no longer be sold after 9:00am on June 28th, 2021.
